PASTOR TERA KARICK

Thank you for taking the time to visit the RCOG website! And, thank you for visiting my page. My name is Tera Karick, and I have served as full-time worship leader here at RCOG since 2002. I am an alumni of Lee University and just completed my MBA at Columbia Southern University. I have two boys, Alec and Ian, who are a joy to me…on most days! RCOG has been my home church since I was 3 years old. Other than attending a few different churches in college, this is the only church home I have ever known. It has been a privilege serving the fine people that God has placed in our congregation. ! !

While I love leading worship and singing, my heart’s desire as of late has been, first, to reach the poor and needy in our community and, second, to pour into the next generation of leaders. In October of 2015, I had the privilege of spearheading a new ministry at RCOG called His Hands & Feet Outreach Ministry. I have been humbled and amazed at the way our church has responded and how they are joining in the call to reach out to those who are in need or simply just loving our community and surrounding areas. It truly has become a new passion in my life, and I can’t thank God enough for the open doors and the way He is using us to touch lives! Also, I have been challenged to really focus on training and equipping the saints as scripture instructs leaders to do. For me, specifically, that is to train our future worship leaders. I am enjoying watching young people really embrace worship and their callings to lead, sing and play music unto the Lord. I am both challenged and encouraged by them. There is so much in the world today seeking to steal the focus from Jesus in the lives of young people. And, there is so much pulling them away from the house of God. I hope that I can make room for them here at RCOG, so that they can find their place in this house of God and realize that nothing the world offers is as good as what God has for them. So many are searching for meaning, purpose and love. My prayer is that they find it as we worship the One who has it all.
